NEWS, SCHEDULES, AND EVENTS FOR WEEK ENDING NOVEMBER 23

HOCKEY SCHOLAR
All 5th grade students will be participating in a Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) program sponsored by the NHL. The Program starts Wednesday November 22.

The Boston Bruins are sponsoring an online STEM program for grades 5-8 across Massachusetts and it is available at no cost to Tewksbury Public Schools. The program is broken up into modules that are designed to supplement ongoing lessons in science or math by relating a given concept to the game of hockey.

About the program:
Hockey Scholar consists of 12 online learning modules for students in grades 5-8, aligned to the 2016 Science and Tech/Engineering framework. Each module connects a STEM concept to the game of hockey for a real-world application.

Thanks to a partnership with the Boston Bruins, the program (as well as the training and technical support we provide) is available at no cost.

You do not need to sign up for the late bus, but students should make sure their parents know if they are taking the bus (and parents should make sure their children know). Also, if you live on a small side street, make sure you can describe to the bus driver where your street is (What main street is it off of? What landmark or intersection is it near?).
