SCHEDULE AND EVENTS FOR WEEK ENDING JANUARY 5

BAND

Welcome to 2018! How are you liking it so far?

Thanks again to everyone for continuing to work hard at our last rehearsal, even though I couldn't be there.

We'll need to get right back into the swing of things tomorrow, as our concert is just over three weeks away.

New Schedule
I have attached the new schedule. If you can't print it out, I'm happy to print out a copy for you tomorrow. (Yes, tomorrow. I know - I could use a few more days of vacation too.)

Concerts - January 25
Both our daytime and nighttime concerts will be on Thursday, January 25. That is a half day, and you will spend most of the morning performing, then go home early. Then report to the Wynn that night (6:30 call time, 7:00 concert).

(BTW, the snow date for the evening concert is Monday, January 29.)

This Week's Schedule - Tuesday, January 2

The big important dates on the calendar are:

Dress Rehearsal and Concerts - January 24 and 25
On Wednesday, January 24, we will have a Full Band rehearsal from 1:00-2:20. This is my one chance to hear the entire Band together before the concert, so it is important to be there.

On Thursday, January 25, we will have 3 concerts:
  • In the morning, we will perform twice - once for the 5th grade and once for the 6th grade. (That day is a half day, so you'll spend most of it on stage.)
  • At 6:30 PM, you'll report to the Wynn Middle School Auditorium for a 7:00 concert.
Dress Code for the Concert - Black and White
For our evening concert, Band members wear "Black and White", which means:
  • Black pants or long skirt (3/4 or full length)
  • Black socks and shoes
  • White shirt with a collar or white blouse
If you are unable to get this outfit, "Sunday best" is acceptable.
