SCHEDULE AND EVENTS FOR WEEK ENDING DECEMBER 22

BAND
Dear Wind Ensemble Member:

As I mentioned last week, I will not be in on Tuesday. However, there will still be a rehearsal after school - and hopefully lessons as well - so bring your instrument.

I have requested a sub - Mr. Feitor, a former band teacher - for the day, but have yet to get confirmation from the town. So check your email tomorrow for a more definitive answer of what Tuesday's schedule will look like.

Ms. Abis will also not be in on Tuesday, and has moved her afterschool lessons to Monday. If you have not confirmed with her yet about Monday lessons, please do.

Dear Ryan Band Member:

We are well on our way to our first concert. We played through three of our four songs on Wednesday. Although we didn't have Full Band on Thursday, the Thursday group should be able to catch up this week.

Please take some time to play through Frere Jacques and Part A or Part B (or both) of Aura Lee before Wednesday. That way, you won't be just trying to learn the notes in Full Band. You'll be able to listen to everyone else too.

WHAT'S GOING ON AT THE RYAN?
BAND
Dear Ryan Band Member:

We did a great job reading through some of our concert music for the first time last week. Make sure you practice Old McDonald and Hard Rock Blues at home. And feel free to take an advanced look at Aura Lee and Frere Jacques. All of these songs are on pages 12 and 13 in your lesson book.

Important - Schedule Change
When I put the schedule together, I forgot to account for the half day this Thursday. Oops!

There are three changes to the schedule:
  1. No Full Band on Thursday. If you can come Wednesday instead of Thursday this week, please do. If you can't, don't worry about it.
  2. Saxophone 2 Moved to Wednesday. Saxophone 2 lessons will be Wednesday at 12:49 instead of Thursday. That's this week only.
  3. No Make-Up Lessons Thursday. But you may come to make-up lessons on Wednesday, even if your lesson is normally on Thursday.
See the full schedule below.
