I will be at the Wynn for most of the day Wednesday, so there will be no scheduled Band lessons. I will be available for the last two blocks on Wednesdayfor anyone who wants to play sticker songs. Students must get your permission, of course.

BAND
Concert - February 8Please mark your calendars - The Ryan Band and Wind Ensemble concert will be on Monday, February 8, at 7:00 PM at the High School. Students should arrive by6:15. (Our snow date ⛄ will be Wednesday, February 10.)
Speaking of Band Concerts....
Join us at the High School this Tuesday (Dec 15) at 6:30 for a free concert featuring the TMHS Band, the TMHS Chorus, the Wynn Middle School Band, and a preview from the Wynn Drama Club's January production of You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown.
This Week and Next Week
This is our last full week of Band before the break. This week follows a regular schedule. Next week, we will only have Late Lessons (on Tuesday andWednesday) and Full Band on Wednesday. There are no lessons scheduled fornext Wednesday (Dec 23). However, I will be available after lunch (12:49-2:27) for any student who wants to play sticker songs that they have already practiced.

Dear Ryan School Families, I hope that all the 5th graders enjoyed the Arts and Enrichment Program from the STEAM Museum this past week.

There is a Toys for Tots box in the Ryan School Office if you are interested in purchasing a present to donate this holiday season.

COAT DRIVE- ON-GOING THROUGH THE BEGINNING OF JANUARY

BOX TOPS CONTEST
This year we are going to have a traveling trophy each month to the homeroom with the most Box Tops for Educations sent in. The trophy will go to the homeroom with the most Box Tops sent in by Tuesday, December 22nd. All you need to do is:  Save them, cut them out, send them in with your homeroom number and your first name and last initial on the baggie with the total number included as well.

Our goal this year is to raise $2,500 from Box Tops.  The money raised will help and go toward Arts and Enrichment for ALL the Ryan Students.

Keep a look out for further contests this year as well.

HARROWS DINE-IN NIGHT
Thank you to everyone that purchased a gift card. They will be sent home this week.

COAT DRIVE
The coat collection this year will run until the first of January. The bin is located in the Ryan School Lobby. All sizes of gently used coats are welcome (adult, child, baby). No rips, missing buttons, broken zippers, or permanent stains. Anton's will clean your coat and then distribute it through human service providers.

RECYCLE THAT
Donate your unwanted books and clothing now in our purple and yellow bin at school! The bin will accept books, DVDs, used clothing in any condition, linens and clothing accessories. Good condition items are repurposed and resold, lesser condition items are turned into industrial rags and filling material. Please no encyclopedias or college text books. Lets earn money for our school and keep these items out of landfills!

INK RECYCLING PROGRAM                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                               The Ryan School participates in an ink recycling  program. Bring in your used ink jets, laser toner cartridges, and used cell  phones ( in a zippered bag) and the Ryan will recycle them. Proceeds will fund art and enrichment programming at our school! Save the earth and help  the school!

PAPER RETRIEVER                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                             The Ryan School has two Paper Retriever bins.  Bring your newspapers, office paper and catalogs to be recycled. We receive money for this paper and the proceeds go directly to the Ryan School arts and enrichment programming.  Please no plastic bags or phone books

It's called Amazon Smile and will donate 0.5% of the purchase price of eligible products to our PAC. Are you looking for a gift to honor a wonder Ryan School teacher, administrator or staff member?  The Tewksbury Education Foundation invites you to honor a special Tewksbury Public School educator/staff member through its Recognition Program.  This program is a meaningful way for parents and students to show their appreciation.  Through this program, you may recognize someone by making a tax-deductible donation to the TEF in his/her name.  We will send each honoree a personalized certificate which acknowledges your gift to the TEF in their name. The certificate will state your name and personal message (if you choose), but it will not disclose the amount of your gift.  Those who are recognized will be included on TEF’s website list of honorees.  Full details are in the attached flier.

Ryan School PAC

Dear Ryan School Families, Thank you to everyone that everyone that came to the Teacher/ Student Basketball game this past week. It was a big success and we raised approximately $3000 to purchase HP Streams for the Ryan School! A big thank you to Jenn Griffin from the PAC and Mrs. Mrozowski for planning such a great event! All your hard work really paid off.

We are in need of volunteers tomorrow afternoon for the 5th grade Arts and Enrichment Program- please see below!!

STEAM MUSEUM ARTS AND ENRICHMENT PROGRAM
On Monday, December 7th, the 5th graders at the Ryan School will have an opportunity to participate in the STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics) Museum!  This program, sponsored by the Ryan PAC, will take place in the Ryan Gym from 8:30-2 pm.  Students and teachers will visit the STEAM Museum with their class and participate in a variety of  interactive STEAM related exhibits.  These exhibits range from building an arch to programming a robot to 3D printing!  Students are encouraged to explore the museum at their own pace and manage their time between stations that appeal to their individual interests.  The exhibits will support the student's science and math curriculum but also expose them to a variety of high-tech fields of student.

We are in need of volunteers to help students move from one station to another.

HARROWS DINE-IN NIGHT
Buy a $25 Harrows Certificate for just $20 through this PAC fundraiser. Harrows will also make a donation to the Ryan School PAC! Orders are due on Thursday, December 10th and the purchased gift cards will come home in backpacks on Monday, December 14th. Enjoy warm delicious chicken pot pies, apple and blueberry pies and more any day that you like. The gift cards are good at any location and do not expire so consider to buy a few when you need that quick dinner. Harrows is located at 345 Main Street in Tewksbury. The notice is attached. Please send in notice with payment (checks should be made out to: Ryan School PAC) in an envelope marked: PAC Box.
