Well, MCAS is almost done, and our concert is less than 3 weeks away. So take some time this week to make sure you know all of our concert music. 

And if you haven't been to a lesson in awhile, please come this week.

Messages from Principal McInnes:

Cell Phone and Personal Device Rules

A reminder, as clearly stated in the Student Handbook, cell phones and other electronic devices are not permitted in school without consent from the principal. A note from parent/guardian must be on file at the school before permission is granted. With permission, students are allowed to bring their cell phones to school, but they must remain turned off and in their backpack.

These same rules extend to the buses- there is NO cell phone use on the bus. Thank you for your cooperation.

Adjustment to School Calendar

As stated in an email from Superintendent Malone, Tewksbury Schools has adjusted this year's school calendar.

Friday, May 25th, previously an early release day, will now be a full day.

As a result, the last day of school is now Friday, June 22nd, and it is an early release at 11:10.

Updated Concert Schedule

For various (mostly boring) reasons, our May/June concert schedule has changed. Please put the following dates in your calendar:

• Thursday, May 31, 7:00 PM - Concert at Wynn Middle School (this is the same as before)
• Wednesday, June 6, 8:45 AM - Concert Tour to North Street and Trahan
• Monday, June 11, 1:00 PM - Combined Rehearsal with Beginning Band
• Wednesday, June 13, 8:20 AM - In-School Concert at Ryan School
• Tuesday, June 19, 2:30 - Band Party (same as before)

Please cross out:

• the June 5 combined rehearsal (we'll still have our regular rehearsal at 2:30)
• the June 7 concert
• the June 13 concert tour (that's now our in-school concert)

Once again, we are running up against MCAS. I've modified the schedule a bit for Clarinet, Saxophone, and Trumpet. Come either at your new time or whenever you can (with your teacher's permission, of course).
