SCHEDULE AND EVENTS FOR WEEK ENDING APRIL 13

BAND
Dear Ryan Band Member:

Our two pieces are starting to come together. Make sure to spend some time before rehearsal this week to get comfortable with your parts. Don't just count on the other folks in your section - you have to learn your part, too!

Don't Forget Lessons
It has been awhile since I've seen some of you in your lessons. Coming to your lessons will help you get better, so that you'll feel a lot more comfortable with our concert music.

If you need a new schedule, I have them in the Band Room. The schedule is also posted on the Band Room door. And your homeroom teacher may have also posted it in your room.

PAC
The Ryan School PAC is looking for volunteers for the next school year. Both the Chair and Treasurer are moving on after 3 years, leaving the Board without any members.
PLEASE consider volunteering for the Ryan School PAC! The school and your kids need your help!
Speaking from experience, the administration and staff at the Ryan School are fantastic and wonderful to work with. There are also MANY FEWER activities at this age so the PAC duties are greatly reduced. Meetings occur every other month (only 5 per year) and there is typically ONE major fundraiser and 1-2 other events that occur through the school year but with lots of help from teachers. There’s lots of help from the secretaries and staff so you do not have to be available during the day to be on the Board. As a parent, this is really your last chance to spend any meaningful time in the school volunteering so I would encourage you to think about helping the PAC.
Without at least 2 sitting board members, the PAC will have to fold. Many of the activities that are done under that PAC umbrella will go away – 2-3 arts & enrichment in-school programs, donations of technology, donations for school improvement projects, book fair, career fair, etc.
If you are interested in hearing more about Board or Committee positions, please contact ryanschoolpac@gmail.com. Please think about helping – even if you only have an hour here or there, you would be surprised at how minimal the time commitment actually is to help the PAC.
