KINDNESS CLUB

The Kindness Club’s next outreach project is creating/ writing thank you cards for the Tewksbury Police and Fire Department.  We are asking students to write thank you cards to show their appreciation for the bravery and hard work they do every day for our safety.  If you wish to participate Please send in all thank you cards by March 9^th.  You may personalize a thank you note just make sure you address the envelope to that particular officer or firefighter.  Drop off bins are in Mrs. Curley’s, Ms. Nelson’s, Mrs. Hillson’s, Mrs. Davis’s and Mrs. Bruff’s room.

Our next meeting will be Thursday March 9, 2017 at 2:30 in Mrs. Curley’s room.  It is not too late to join please see the office for a permission slip.  Remember one random act of kindness from all of us could change the world.

Dear Wind Ensemble Member:

I hope you had a fun and restful vacation and are ready to jump back in. I got to hear all kinds of music this past week, and I'm re-energized and excited to get back to work.

Chamber Music for March 12

I'll start hearing chamber music auditions this week for anyone who wants to perform on Sunday, March 12. You can play during your lesson, after Band on Wednesday or Thursday, or at whatever other time we can arrange on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday (this week or next week).

STAFF vs STUDENTS BASKETBALL
The annual teachers vs. students basketball game fundraiser will be February 16 at 5:30 in the Ryan School gym. Come out and support the students as they attempt to defeat the teachers in what will be a fantastic game and a great way to raise funds for our school.

Between concerts and snow days, we haven't had much chance to work on sticker songs lately, but we're back to a normal schedule this week. 

Chamber Groups for March 12

I would love to have as many chamber groups as we can for our March 12 Music Day concert. Start thinking about who you want to play with (or if you want to play alone) and what song you want to do. Please come to me if you need some help. Don't wait until March to start planning - if your song is hard, you'll want lots of time to work on it (or find something easier).

Come Cheer on the Wynn Band (and UMass Lowell)

The Wynn Band will be performing the National Anthem before a UMass Lowell Men's Basketball Game on Wednesday, February 15 at 7 PM at Tsongas Arena. Tickets are half price ($5) if you order by this Friday. The order form is attached.
