SCHEDULE AND EVENTS FOR WEEK ENDING FEBRUARY 5

BAND
Dear Ryan Band Student/Parent:
Lots of important concert week info, so please read all the way through.
Dress Rehearsal - Wednesday, 1:00
There is a MANDATORY dress rehearsal for all Band members on Wednesdayfrom 1:00-2:20. This is my only chance to hear the entire Band together, so you must attend.

That you means you must check in with your teachers in advance. Plan to miss the last two blocks of the day on Wednesday. You are still responsible for any tests, projects, etc that you will miss. Please don't come to me on Wednesday afternoon and say "I can't come because...".
BTW, despite its name, you do not need to dress up for the dress rehearsal.
Evening Concert - February 8
Our evening concert is Monday, February 8 at Tewksbury Memorial High School Auditorium. The concert begins at 7:00 PM. "Call Time" (when band members should arrive) is 6:15 PM. Bring your instrument and your music. If you have a folding music stand, please bring it - there should be enough stands at the high school, but the more we have, the less we have to share.
Preferred concert dress is "Black and White": Black pants or skirt (full- or 3/4-length), black shoes and socks, white collared shirt or blouse. Please don't feel obligated to go buy new clothes for the concert. "Sunday best" is a perfectly acceptable alternative.
Morning Concert - February 12
We will perform at the Ryan School on Friday, February 12, the half day before vacation. Band members should plan on being on the stage for most of the school day. Again, check in with your teachers in advance.
Chamber Groups
Thursday is the deadline to audition if you'd like to perform a solo, duet, trio, etc. Better to do it earlier though, in case something needs to get fixed.
