Looking ahead, there is no school next Tuesday, November 7. So let's make this week's rehearsal twice as good as usual!

I hope you're enjoying this beautiful (for now) weekend. We have some scheduling issues on Thursday because of the play, so please note the changes to Thursday's schedule.

Also, the schedule will not be read during the morning announcements anymore, so please make sure you know your lesson time. Or check with me in the morning.

Can You Switch Your Full Band Day?

This past week, we had about 3 times as many students at Full Band on Wednesday as on Thursday. If you can easily switch from Wednesday to Thursday (especially now that Cross Country is done), that would make Wednesday less crowded and crazy. And it would make Thursday more like Full Band instead of "Partial Band".

On Monday, October 23rd and Wednesday, October 25th from 11:30am-9:30pm Kyoto will donate 15% of your total purchase before tax to the Ryan School PAC. Dine-In and Take-Out Orders both apply. Kyoto's is located at 1487 Main Street. The notice is attached but  you just have to mention that you are with the Ryan School PAC to get the donation.

Dear Wind Ensemble Member:

We took a look at James River Journey last week. It's a bit easier than our other two pieces, but it looks like it will prove a nice challenge nonetheless. I'll hand out parts on Tuesday.

Reminder: Sign Up in the Morning for the Late Bus

If you're taking the late bus home after Full Band, you MUST sign up in the morning. Last year, there was some flexibility if you forgot. But a lot more kids are using the late bus this year, so you must sign up in the morning so the bus driver can plan out the route.

Full Band rehearsals start this week after school! This is where we get to put all of the instruments together and sound like a band!

Here are some important questions and answers:

When? - Wednesday OR Thursday (your choice) from 2:30-3:30.

Where? - The cafeteria. 

Where do I get picked up afterwards? - In front of the school.

Can I take the Late Bus home? - Yes. You must SIGN UP DURING HOMEROOM. The bus drivers need time to plan out the route, so you have to sign up in the morning.

Can I leave my instrument in the Band Room? - Yes. You may bring it to the Band Room in the morning. You may also leave it there after your lesson. You may even leave it there overnight if you have a lesson and a rehearsal on different days. Please don't leave your instrument in the cafeteria or on the stage.

Do I still have to go to my lesson? - Of course! Your lesson is where you learn how to play your instrument and earn stickers. Full Band is where we learn how to play together.
