SCHEDULE AND EVENTS FOR WEEK ENDING JANUARY 19

BAND
Dear Wind Ensemble Member:

We've made some pretty good progress over the past two weeks. Good thing, since our concert is 11 days away! ðŸ˜€ðŸ˜²

Please take some time this weekend to:
  • focus on any parts your having trouble with.
  • play through our songs with a metronome to see if you can keep a steady tempo. There are many free metronomes online, or on apps. Here's one.
Concert Info
  • Our daytime and evening concerts are all next Thursday, January 25
  • The evening concert is at the Wynn, with a 6:30 Call time.
  • Concert dress for the evening concert is Black and White - black pants/long skirt, shoes, and socks; white top (preferably a shirt with a collar or a blouse). If black and white is not an option, "Sunday best" is an acceptable alternative.
  • Casual dress for the morning concert is fine, but please look neat - no ripped or inappropriate clothes.
  • (If January 25 is a snow day, the evening concert will be Monday, January 29.)
Chamber Groups
  • This Thursday is the last day to audition for chamber groups. Remember that our next concert - on March 4 - will focus on chamber groups, so if you're not ready for this concert, there's always the next one.
This Week's Schedule - Tuesday, January 16
  • Percussion - 8:20
  • Flute - 9:08
  • Clarinet - 9:56
  • Make-Up Lessons - 11:15
  • Trumpet/Saxophone - 12:49
  • Low Brass - 1:37
  • Full Band - 2:30
  • Late Lessons - 3:30
“Yes, if you want to say that I was a drum major, say that I was a drum major for justice, say that I was a drum major for peace, I was a drum major for righteousness, and all the other shallow things will not matter.”
