NEWS, SCHEDULE, AND EVENTS FOR WEEK ENDING DECEMBER 2

SCHOOL NEWS

On Thursday December 1 The Ryan School will be taking a school-wide walking field trip to Tewksbury Memorial High School to see their Drama Club’s presentation of  “It’s a Wonderful Life.” The field trip is at no cost and buses will be provided in the event of inclement weather.


Olympic Gold Medalist Stacy Dragila will be bringing her Stick Jumping program to our students on Wednesday, November 30th. Stacy will also be available to meet with some PE classes throughout the day

BAND
Dear Ryan Band Member:
I hope you enjoyed your Thanksgiving, and are continuing to enjoy the long weekend.

New Schedule
We have a bunch of schedule changes in December. Thursday folks, especially, will all miss a lesson either this week or next week because of a school-wide field trip and a half day.
I have attached an updated schedule for the month of December. Please make note of any changes. If you wrote your lessons in your agenda, please write in any changes. If you have a printed version, please print out this update.

PAC
Dear Ryan School Families, I hope that everyone had a nice long weekend (sorry this is a little late!) Thank you to everyone that donated food for the Turkey Trot Food Drive. We were able to provide the Tewksbury Food Pantry with a lot of food!



PAC IMPORTANT DATES
Monday, November 28th- Coat Drive Begins
Thursday, December 8th- Half Day

On-Going- Box Tops Contest


COAT DRIVE
The coat collection this year will run until the first of January. The bin is located in the Ryan School Lobby. All sizes of gently used coats are welcome (adult, child, baby). No rips, missing buttons, broken zippers, or permanent stains. Anton's will clean your coat and then distribute it through human service providers. 


BOX TOP CONTEST
Collect Box Tops and participate in a friendly competition between 5th and 6th grade for extra recess!!

This is how it works:
1. Collect Box Tops
2. Parent/ Guardians- Send to school with slip (attached below). Can send multiple times.
3. Students- Bring to office and put in bin marked Box Tops.
4. The PAC will transfer4 to containers in cafeteria.
5. First grade to fill container- EXTRA RECESS!!
